Find out why I chose Mother's Day cards for the first collection
For the first collection, I decided to focus on an upcoming event or holiday to meet the needs of a larger audience, instead of rolling out a selection of different cards. But, starting things off with a Mother's Day collection wasn't what I originally had in mind.

I planned to start things off with Easter for a couple of different reasons. Firstly, visits to Hobbycraft and the Range sparked my creativity with their wide selection of Easter papercraft items. Also, with Easter still a little way off, I had the perfect opportunity to generate some excitement around the business launch and prepare for the first collection.
I prepared for the Easter launch by designing and crafting the entire collection. I also designed and purchased all the necessary packaging, including custom envelopes. The cards were photographed, and the product listings were prepared and ready to publish on the website. I also started creating and sharing exciting content on social media. Let me know in the comments if you spot the Easter content I have already released.

Although launching with Easter would have provided me with additional preparation time, let's face it—Easter cards aren't exactly in high demand. So, I decided to make an exciting shift to concentrate on Mother's Day instead. With under a month remaining, I had a lot to do, and very little time to do it in! After designing the beautiful cards, I ordered custom envelopes to match their size and created new listings for the website, along with exciting content for social media.
The initial card was inspired by yet another shopping trip to Hobbycraft, and more significantly by my mum's love for bees. I aimed to design a card incorporating various techniques, which I successfully accomplished with this one. Subsequently, I made two additional cards, considering that not everyone prefers a card adorned with bees. It was also crucial for me that the 'Mum' could be swapped out, enabling people to purchase cards honouring other special individuals in their lives.

I thoroughly enjoyed putting together this collection, and in the upcoming blog post, I'll provide more details on how I made them and the products I used. Subscribe to the mailing list to ensure you don't miss it!
